Portable Toilets at Church

Portable Toilets have an essential Role!!

Did you know that until 2005, the cardinals had to endure Spartan like conditions in makeshift “cells” that was close to the Sistine chapel? The cardinals had to sleep on hard beds and were also issued with chamber pots to use as toilets. But Pope John Paul ll changed all that with the construction of a massive five storey guest house that has 130-rooms, this is located near St Peter’s – Domus Sanctae Marthe (St Martha’s House).

Even with the construction of the five storey St Martha’s House (Domus Sanctae Marthe), the cardinals still have it rough when voting for a new pope. Antonio Paulucci who is the director of the Vatican Museum told Catholic News Service the other week “I believe they may be installing some Portable Chemical Toilets inside the chapel”

Here are Five Fun Facts You May Not have Known about Portable Toilets

  1. There were 5,000 portable restrooms at Obama’s inauguration.
  2. A portable toilet will uses 90% less water than a conventional toilet.
  3. The first toilet cubicle is usually used least. This makes it the cleanest toilet in a row.
  4. Toilets are flushed more times during halftime super bowl than any other time of the year.
  5. The U.S. spent over $100,000 on a survey just to determine whether it was more common to put the toilet paper in the holder with the flap facing the front or behind. The flap in the front is the most popular.

Portable Toilet

We have modified the story a bit as the weather wasn’t always in our favour. The Location was at West Park in Wolverhampton. We started filming around 10.30 and were finished before noon on the 18th March. We had two actors, one from the Performing Arts & Leisure in Walsall and our very own Charlotte from the Hire Desk at Tardis.

The Film has now gone off to be edited and finalised and should be with us soon.

So watch out for our upcoming short film.

Portable Toilet or Tree Stump!!

Tree Stump Toilet

An American Portable toilet company has joined forces with a master Hollywood Set Designer and have produced one of the most eye catching portable toilet camouflages I have ever seen. This is a good alternative to the tradition Portable toilet, if blending in is more important than standing out. I could see this being a great investment for camp sites and Golf Clubs.

This Stump shaped portable toilet completely fools the eye as it has no straight lines with real bark textured surface that looks like the real thing. This Tree stump style portable toilet is also surprisingly roomy at 6’10’ tall interior. It is designed to be a full working portable toilet with features like its floor to ceiling seamless encapsulated insulation.

Each Portable Tree Stump Toilet has an hand painted exterior, which has a UV stabilized hard surface, integrated rain drainage system, seamless construction (no corners or straight lines ), Insulated unit and locking door with internal frame.

The height is approx. 6’10” tall and 8’ around. The weight of the Portable toilet Tree Stump is only 295 lbs.

The Portable Tree Stump can be fitted with a hand washing station, soap, towels, vanity mirror, interior lighting and a coat hook/item shelf.

A premium Stump Tree is large enough to allow wheel chair access in and out of the portable toilet.

Septic tank systems

Do you have a septic tank system that’s not working how it used to work?

There are so many reasons why a septic tank system could fail, the septic tank itself could not be decomposing the sludge correctly, sludge is what falls to the bottom of the septic tank and is decomposed, with a little help from friendly septic tank bacteria.

Empty Septic Tank

How could this build-up of sludge happen, it’s easy if you wash or pour antibacterial down the drain it will enter inside the septic tank and kill bacteria, stopping the septic tank system from digesting the sludge, which will then cause the sludge to build up and block the inlet and outlet pipes. Anti-Bacterial is fine to put down the drain but in small measures so not to kill of the Friendly bacteria.

You could solve this problem by having a septic tank emptying service and replenish the friendly bacteria. I would recommend having the septic tank emptied at least once a year. You could also have a scheduled empty for peace of mind.

Does your soakaway take a long time to drain away? If your drain field takes a long time to drain back to ground water, this could be because of increased use and the drain field could no longer support the increased waste water.  You will need a professional company to come and check the drain field system. If left too long the EPA could step in and if you’re found to be endangering the surrounding area then you could be fined or even placed in prison.

Other problems that could signal you have a sewage/drainage problem are your toilets don’t flush as quickly. This could mean that you could have a large blockage within the drain pipes. If you have a bad smell coming from the ground this could mean that you have a collapsed pipe or the pipe has a possible leak. To unblock your drain you will need a high pressure jetting service to lance throw the blockage and clean the pipe. A scheduled jetting service will minimise your drainage system having a blockage. If you have a damaged pipe and need advice give us a call and we will send out a CCTV Crew and check the damage. If you have minor damage like a crack then we could perform a pipe re-lining service. This will save you loads of money as we would not have to dig up your sewage system. But if you have a collapsed pipe then unfortunately it would need replacing.

Welfare Waste Removal

Welfare Waste Removal

If you need a welfare service and waste tank emptying service, then you can count on Tardis Environmental get the job done.

Waste Tanker servicing

Why do I need my Welfare unit Serviced and the waste tank emptied? If you have a welfare unit at a site that has both toilets and a canteen then you will need to have the welfare unit serviced. So what does the service include? A service is where Tardis will restock your soap dispensers, resupply your toilet rolls and anything else that needs restocking. Some Welfare Units have their own Clean Water tank, Which Tardis will be able to fill with clean fresh none drinking water.

When placing an order for a Welfare waste tank empty service please let us know what the size of the waste tank is. This is to ensure that we send the correct vehicle to empty your waste tank.

Some welfare waste tanks can be as large as 1000 gallons and a normal service van can’t take that much waste and will need us to send a Vacuum tanker to remove all the waste.

Welfare Servicing

When ordering a welfare waste tank empty service, please ensure you have access for our Tankers to perform the service. All our tankers carry 40 metres standard. If you think you will need us to bring more hose then please ask the Hire Desk at the point of request, to make a note for the driver to put extra hose on the tanker.

For any other wet waste removal  like septic tank emptying, cesspool cleaning and cesspit emptying please call our Freephone number on 0800 731 0589.
