Problems with Septic Tank Emptying

Incorrectly Installed Septic Tank

As you know Tardis Environmental can perform a septic tank emptying service and will take 1000 gallons of septic tank waste per septic tank emptying service. So what happens when you have two 500 gallon septic tanks that are full and are in need of a tank emptying service?

Normally we would come and empty both tanks as they both add up to 1000 gallons. But when we went out to empty the two tanks at the site, we found that they were not installed correctly in to the ground as both waste tanks have the same problem.

The problem with the two tanks was they were not properly sealed to stop rain and storm water from creating a layer of water above the tank.

When we started to empty the two tanks and was getting close to our 1000 gallon limit we noticed the two tanks were still not empty. That’s when the storm and drain water started to refill the empty septic tank.

We then contacted the customer and told them the problem with the two tanks, who then instructed us to continue to empty the two tank. After we emptied both septic tanks we measured how much wet waste we have taken from the two tanks which where ment to hold a 1000 gallons between them, we calculated that we took 1800 gallons of wet waste. Because the septic tanks were not sealed correctly a further 800 gallons needed to be taken of which was rain water.

So make sure your septic tank is correctly installed.
